hello, i am alien girl

i am making this website with the intention to use it as my own personal social media site. where i can write, share my various interests, and just generally be myself without the fear of being percieved by others. i am working on compeletly sparting myself with social media platforms. as of recent years places like twitter and instagram have basically become riddled with bots and AI slop. tumblr is a place where i can feel more like myself but that also kind of a dead site. here, i have found so many creative people making amazing websites, and i felt inspired! so please join me as i learn how to create a website for me, and look around and see if there is anything you like!

for now i will tell you what this site will entail. i want to create a page about all the film and television i watch, as both are huge passions of mine. i have a letterboxd that i want to incorporate into the site as well.

music is another passion of mine. i absoluetly adore music. i probably cant go a day without listening to at least one song on my heavy rotation. so something like a music player might be on this site in the future. a list of my favorite albums. and some pictures of my record collection/set up!

books! i love to read. i probably dont do it as much as i should. but nonetheless it is something that brings me joy. i intend to log and review books so as to distance myself from goodreads

i very much love to write. when i wrote my first short story back in elemtenary had me hooked. since then reading and writing have been something i take pirde in. english was my favorite subject growing up, always got good grades, my teachers always said i had excellent writing skills. but i never put them to use, too down on myself to actually give my writing a chance. but im done with that. i will use this as a live journal and as a place to dump any and all creative writing ideas that pop into my head.
